Rainier National Park’s gateways, this one by the Carbon River. Along the drive I noticed a great deal of sediment in the water and hoped to find a spot, an eddy or a sandbar, that had the gradient to reduce the sediment to silt, that fine talc that is the bi-product of erosion, current, water and light, particles so tiny that some are translucent.
